Challenge
Quoniam aimed to migrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 from an on-premises environment to the cloud to modernize its system landscape, reduce maintenance costs, and create a scalable foundation for future growth.
Previously, on-premises deployment slowed innovation and made updates difficult. Continuously delivered new features, modern AI tools like Copilot, enhanced analytics capabilities and comprehensive integration with Outlook are available exclusively in the cloud. On-premises installations, by contrast, lagged significantly behind and required considerable maintenance as well as longer testing cycles, while integration issues with portfolio accounting, KYC processes, and market data led to data silos and outdated metrics.
Another challenge was the seamless integration of existing interfaces and systems.
With the cloud migration, Quoniam aimed to leverage the full potential of the cloud and accelerate system development, enabling reliable near-real-time reporting, continuous improvement, and reduced risks and costs.
Solution
For the cloud migration, Quoniam chose DIGITALL as an experienced partner with a proven record: this partner had already delivered the cloud migration for the customer’s Dynamics 365 landscape.
Together, the Quoniam and DIGITALL teams developed a secure, compliant migration concept. This included identity management, security policies, data storage, and backup and recovery. The migration of Dynamics 365 Sales to the cloud took place without any interruption to operations; integrations were redesigned to be modern and API-based.
In marketing, Quoniam replaced the existing system with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys. This resulted in uniform customer profiles, automated communication processes, and measurable results. Extensive testing and targeted employee training ensured a smooth go-live while significantly reducing maintenance costs.
The result: The Dynamics 365 system was completely rebuilt in the cloud, and all relevant data was migrated. Quoniam was thus able to comprehensively digitize processes, increase efficiency, significantly reduce operational effort and provide near real-time reporting – on a scalable, future-proof platform.
